Session Hero™ is developed and operated by Sunscribe™. This Privacy Policy explains what information Session Hero collects, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Session Hero is built to help tabletop groups spend less time coordinating schedules and more time actually playing. We do not sell your personal information.
INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE
When you use Session Hero, you may provide information such as:
• Your email address and account information.
• Your display name and Hero Sigil.
• Party membership and invitations.
• Availability, scheduling preferences, and session information.
• Messages, announcements, polls, Snack Board entries, and other content you choose to share through the app.
• Notification and app preferences.
Some of this information is naturally shared with other members of your parties because Session Hero is a group coordination service. For example, party members may see information such as your display name, availability, messages, and other content you intentionally share with the group.
ACCOUNT AND AUTHENTICATION
Session Hero uses account information to create and secure your account, authenticate you, and provide access to your information across supported devices.
If you choose to use a supported sign-in provider, such as Google or Apple, that provider may process information necessary to authenticate you. Session Hero does not receive your Google or Apple password.
HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use information collected through Session Hero to:
• Provide and maintain the app.
• Coordinate parties, availability, sessions, invitations, and other Session Hero features.
• Deliver messages, announcements, reminders, and notifications.
• Maintain account security and prevent misuse.
• Provide and verify subscription or other paid access.
• Diagnose crashes, errors, and technical problems.
• Improve the reliability and performance of Session Hero.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not use the content you create in Session Hero to train artificial intelligence models.
NOTIFICATIONS
If you enable notifications, Session Hero may send notifications related to your account, parties, messages, invitations, scheduling activity, and confirmed sessions.
Notification delivery may involve services provided by Apple, Google, and Firebase. You can control notification permissions through your device and, where available, your Session Hero settings.
CALENDAR ACCESS
If you choose to enable calendar integration, Session Hero may request permission to add and manage Session Hero-created events on your device calendar.
Session Hero is designed to interact only with calendar information necessary to provide this feature. It does not use calendar access to collect or analyze unrelated personal calendar events.
You can revoke calendar permission through your device settings.
SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PURCHASES
Session Hero may offer subscriptions or other paid access.
Purchases are processed through the applicable app store and may be managed with third-party subscription infrastructure such as RevenueCat. Session Hero does not receive or store your full payment-card information.
Information necessary to determine your purchase status, subscription status, and access to paid features may be processed and stored.
Session Hero may also share your Hero Sigil with RevenueCat as account metadata, so it can be associated with your subscription history within that system. Once Session Hero's advertising integration is fully active, impression-level advertising performance information, such as the ad network, ad format, and revenue amount associated with an ad you're shown, may likewise be associated with your subscription identity in RevenueCat. This does not include your device's advertising identifier or other device-level tracking information.
ADVERTISING
The free version of Session Hero may display advertising provided through Google AdMob.
Depending on your consent choices, device or platform permissions (such as Apple's App Tracking Transparency), your settings, and applicable requirements, the ads you see may be personalized to your interests or activity, or non-personalized. Where required, Session Hero requests your consent or permission before showing personalized ads, using tools such as Google's User Messaging Platform.
Advertising partners may process device or advertising-related information as necessary to provide, measure, and limit advertising, subject to their own privacy practices. You can manage advertising and tracking choices through your device settings at any time.
Paid or otherwise eligible accounts may be exempt from advertising according to their Session Hero access level.
DIAGNOSTICS AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Session Hero may collect limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service, such as crash reports, error information, app version, device or operating-system information, and related diagnostic data.
This diagnostic information may include device and app information, technical identifiers, and crash or error details such as stack and exception information. Routine error reporting is deliberately limited and does not include free-form personal message text; a genuine, unexpected app crash may include additional technical exception or runtime information needed to diagnose and resolve it. Session Hero does not attach your name, email address, or other directly identifying account information to this diagnostic information.
We use this information to identify problems and keep Session Hero working reliably. We do not use Session Hero for general-purpose behavioral analytics unless this Privacy Policy is updated to disclose that practice.
SERVICE PROVIDERS
Session Hero relies on trusted third-party services to operate certain parts of the app. These may include services provided by:
• Google and Firebase for infrastructure, authentication, messaging, notifications, diagnostics, and related app services.
• Apple for platform services and supported authentication or notification functionality.
• RevenueCat for subscription and entitlement management.
• Google AdMob for advertising.
These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services and are subject to their own privacy practices.
We do not sell your personal information to these providers.
DATA RETENTION AND ACCOUNT DELETION
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Session Hero, maintain the security and integrity of the service, satisfy legitimate operational needs, and comply with legal obligations.
You may request deletion of your Session Hero account using the account-deletion controls available in the app.
Account deletion is designed to remove your account and associated personal data from Session Hero systems, subject to information that must be retained for legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, transaction, or recordkeeping purposes.
Some information you previously shared with other users may remain where necessary to preserve the integrity of shared conversations, party history, or records, but it may no longer identify you as an active Session Hero account.
Information independently retained by third parties, such as app-store transaction records, is governed by those providers.
SECURITY
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information handled by Session Hero.
No online service can guarantee absolute security, but access to Session Hero data is limited according to the needs of the service, and sensitive operations are designed to be protected by authenticated and authorized systems.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Session Hero is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected in violation of applicable requirements, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
YOUR CHOICES
Depending on the feature and your device, you may be able to:
• Update certain account and profile information.
• Change notification preferences.
• Grant or revoke calendar access.
• Manage advertising or tracking permissions.
• Manage subscription purchases through the applicable app store.
• Delete your Session Hero account.
Additional privacy rights may apply depending on where you live.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
Session Hero will continue to grow, and this Privacy Policy may change as the app, its services, or applicable requirements change.
When we make material changes, we will update this Policy and its "Last updated" date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
